- 1 / 5By kyle lSo, I wanted to purchase some beer. I went in and got a 6 pack and walked to the grocery section counter. This Matt guy who is the manager of the Wine section told the cashier he would take over. I gave him my ID and unlike many Hyvee's I have been to he didn't scan it.
He said do you have any other forms of ID. I said no this is a valid Iowa drivers licence I am sorry I don't carry my passport with with me. This guy would not sell me anything. So I suggested if he really thinks its fake to call the police and have them scan it so I could get my beer and be on my way. He said even if they scan it he still wouldn't sell it to me.
So basically even with a higher authority telling him that I am in fact 23 he still wouldn't sell me the beer.
I thought that was rather rude of him and I will never shop there again. I would sooner drive to Milwaukee where this beer is made to get some then deal with that person again.August 07, 2016
